Mold Remediation

Mold Remediation – (n, mōld ri-ˌmē-dē-ˈā-shən): the removal, sanitizing, cleaning, demolition, or other treatments, including activities for the prevention of mold-contaminated matter that was not purposely grown at that location.

Mold exists everywhere within our atmosphere, and people react differently to different types of mold. Certain incidents will increase mold spores, causing an opportunity for growth. AQR’s Certified Mold Remediation Experts will come to your residence and provide you with a free mold assessments to determine the correct path for mold remediation based on your individual circumstances.

Many common household molds can be dangerous for you and your loved ones to breathe in. Black mold is only one serious type that most are familiar with. This makes proper mold removal crucial. Once any type of mold is discovered, the first important thing to understand is why the mold is growing and to fix the cause as well as have a professional properly remove the existing mold. Our certified mold remediation technique brings to the table what is known as source removal. Source mold removal is accomplished through engineering controls that ensure the act of source removal does not cross-contaminate other areas of the building envelope.

Some of these engineering controls are:

  • Containment’s constructed of poly sheeting material
  • The establishment of negative air pressure within that containment
  • HEPA filtered air scrubbers
  • Isolation of HVAC systems
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment.

The act of source removal will vary from project to project and varies widely depending on what type of material this mold growth is on. If this material is non-porous, it will normally be salvaged in the source removal process. On the other hand, porous materials, many times, will need to be removed and discarded. After mold source removal is complete, a complete and thorough cleaning of all surfaces within that containment is required. The dismantling of this containment also requires a sequence of steps that prohibit cross-contamination.

Leave it to the Professionals

During your assessment, the team will inspect the area, take photos, and create a moisture map (a floor plan identifying problem areas). They take that information and create a customized proposal for the scope of work for your review, questions, and approval. Once approved, the work will start within a few days.

We are discreet, and upon request, the team will remove the magnetic signs on their work trucks to protect your privacy.

A few reminders from the AQR team:

✓ You can choose the company you want to work with, even if your insurance recommends someone. It is your property, and only you can determine the best fit for your needs.
✓ Our job is to fix the problem, not the source of it. So, if a leak from your roof caused a mold issue; we will eradicate the mold; but you will want to hire a roofer to fix the leak.
AQR takes your property seriously, and therefore we will not cut any corners. This also means we will not spot fix. We take pride in our work and will get it right the first time.

AQR understands that you have deadlines! We will work with you as the homeowner, property manager or facility manager to understand your needs, and will adjust our schedules to meet your needs.
